BA [Hons] New Media Studies

I am a mature student with an passion for writing and a wide variety of media, including film, documentary, radio, podcasts, production, photography and editing. I have been previously published in the Sunday and Irish Independent and on www.alustforlife.com. For my Final Year Project I made a feature documentary on the evolution of Irish Media since the 1940's, entitled. 'You are my Sunshine'. I work as a Tour Guide for Vagabond Tours of Ireland.

Dr. Michael Murphy gave us an insight into the realities of working and creating within the music industry. In one of our first lectures we were tasked to create an album cover in 10 minutes that defined a particular genre of music.
'Dublin at Christmas' is a short video capturing the sights and sounds of the often magical time. This was filmed in 2019 prior to the pandemic.
'You are My Sunshine' is a Documentary Film on the evolution of media technology since the 1950's in Ireland. Based on interviews with my parents, both born in 1940 and their experiences with and through media and how this has impacted their lives.
