MSc Cyberpsychology

I am a very curious person who is dedicated to answer difficult questions. My curiosity to understand human behavior and the reasons why people act and behave the way they do led me to engage in the study of psychology. Studying cyber psychology opened new doors to investigate in particular the dark side of the human mind as there is a transition to the online environment for different types of outlaws. The desire to know and learn more brought me to IADT where I have learned and discovered new insights. The online world surprised me even more when I have discovered that a great number of people are living their lives online.

Differences between contact and non-contact child offenders

The rapid structured literature review analyzed a very sensitive topic regarding the online methods of grooming children by different types of online child offenders. Some of these offenders are "content" with online encounters, while others aim to meet their victims in the offline world. The project focused on the grooming strategies from the point of view of personality traits, empathy, impulsivity and cognitive distortions of general, contact, non-contact and mixed child offenders. There were different levels of the variables studied and the results were provided after using thematic analysis for each variable for each type of offenders.
