Dylan Larkin
Caesura is a project examining themes of grief and the unknown. From the start of my college journey to now, just the end, I have both lost a father and became one. This project seeks to explore the life changing duality of these two all-encompassing transitions. Using a surrealist approach, the work seeks to confront and understand the interplay of emotions and realities that these equally impacting experiences bring.
Dylan Larkin is a photographer based in Dublin whose practice spans moving image, street photography, and portraiture. Working primarily with monochrome digital photography, his work is rooted in observation and focuses on the relationship between people and their environment. His practice is concerned with technology, everyday life, and the experience of the individual within contemporary society. Through a documentary-led approach, he explores how modern systems, routines, and urban spaces shape human interaction and identity. Alongside still photography, Larkin also incorporates moving image into his practice, allowing him to further examine atmosphere, rhythm, and human presence across different forms of visual storytelling.
