SÁRÚ is a chilling folk horror short rooted in Irish mythology. When a young girl moves into a secluded house on the edge of an ancient forest, she discovers a mysterious fairy ring hidden within. Drawn by curiosity, she crosses a threshold never meant to be broken—unleashing the preternatural, as the forgotten rules of the old world claw their way back.
SÁRÚ was directed by Elena Walsh, produced by Jodie Fearon, with cinematography by Adam McCormack.
Adam McCormack also served as Gaffer on both HOBNOBS and TYMEK.

Adam McCormack is a cinematography major in the National Film school, who is also minoring in sound. His experience on set includes his role as DOP on SÁRÚ, as well as gaffer on two other grad films this year. His focus on technical skills throughout his time in the NFS has allowed him to develop a strong visual style in his work, using his experience in lighting to help create the worlds of the film he works on. He continues to work as a cinematographer in narrative films and documentary, and he doesn't think he's fooling anyone by writing this in the third person.
