At What Cost?

After being denied disability allowance, a father battling depression is forced to look for work, despite being unfit for it. Alone and unmoored, he feels cut off from the world - and most painfully, from his young daughter. As he struggles to close the widening gap, a system meant to support him pushes him further to the edge.

At What Cost? is a story that’s close to my heart - one of strength and resilience in the face of overwhelming societal barriers and deep hopelessness. It offers a chance to shed light on the devastating impact of waiting lists, not only on people’s physical and mental health, but also on their relationships with the ones they love.

Intoxicating

(Writer / Director)
Recovering alcoholic Liv gathers the courage to attend a college party — but can she resist the pressure to drink and defy expectations?

Intoxicating is a story I felt a deep, personal need to tell. Liv’s experience resonated with me — not just because of her stage in life, but because of her internal struggle, one I’ve witnessed through family and within the wider drinking culture of Irish society. Having previously explored addiction in short films, I see this project as an opportunity to portray it with even greater honesty and nuance.

Flawless

(Producer)
After a prolific career as a model in the 1960s, Linda becomes the muse of an eccentric young photographer.

Flawless immediately intrigued me with its striking and unconventional premise. I was drawn to the way it challenges traditional beauty standards, offering a powerful reflection on ageing and celebrating those signs as a life fully lived.

Thesis: Cesare Zavattini’s Principles of Neorealism and Their Impact on Contemporary Filmmaking

This thesis is about the life and work of Cesare Zavattini, an Italian journalist and screenwriter who was the leading proponent of Italian Neorealism; a movement in cinema that advocated for an ethical cinema and a cinema of conscience. Emerging in the wake of World War II, Neorealism laid the groundwork for a profound exploration of the quality of life in post-war Italian society and paved the way for future developments in realist cinema.
