Hobnobs is a documentary-style experimental short that follows Andy, an introverted older man living in the countryside with his beloved cat, Bonny. Deeply connected to nature, animals, and the quiet rhythms of rural life, Andy’s world is intimate and still. But as he begins to seek companionship beyond the solitude of his cottage, he slowly finds himself drifting from the very things that once gave him a sense of peace and belonging, with quietly devastating consequences.

Studying at IADT helped me discover a true passion for writing and directing. As a filmmaker, I'm drawn to personal, character-driven stories that explore emotion through quiet, everyday moments. A deep love for nature and animals often finds its way into my work, grounding my storytelling in the textures of the natural world. Through this lens, I aim to create films that resonate emotionally and find beauty in the mundane. Hobnobs is a reflection of that vision—blending personal experience with a raw, experimental approach to storytelling.
