Blunder is a rural psychological thriller that explores the fragile line between loyalty and resentment within a long-standing male friendship. When a childhood friend returns to a quiet rural town after years away, the reunion takes a dark turn, unraveling secrets and exposing the toxic undercurrents of their bond. Set against the isolation and tension of a remote countryside, the film examines how time, unspoken guilt, and unresolved conflict can erode even the deepest connections. As suspicion grows and old wounds resurface, Blunder asks: can we ever truly escape the past, or the people who knew us before we became who we are?
Cal O'Driscoll is an award-winning actor and emerging writer-director from Dublin. A screenwriting graduate with a minor in production, he brings a strong narrative focus, naturalistic dialogue, and a raw visual style to his work. His short films have received awards at festivals both in Ireland and internationally. He is currently developing his debut feature while continuing to act across stage and screen.
