How To Write a Sad Song: Exploring Key Musical Elements and Techniques that Convey Sadness
For my major project in my final year of the Creative Music Production course, I attempted to explore key musical elements that convey sadness. I did this by creating a 4 song cover EP where I took four well-known pop songs, and recomposed them to change the original songs' perception from happy to sad.

Throughout my time at IADT I managed to perform across Ireland as a drummer in a shoegaze band, release my own EP ("Fox-Fur Necktie" under Imaginary Tea Party on Spotify), and engineer tracks for friends and artists alike. Currently, I produce custom entrance themes for indie wrestlers, blending client collaboration with production expertise, a venture I aim to grow into a freelance business.
