phase distortion synthesis

Phase distortion synthesis is a somewhat obscure type of musical synthesis developed by Casio in the 1980s, it can be very effectively visually represented and my project tested if users preferred a phase distortion synth I designed or a more conventional fm synth.

Thesis: Can phase distortion synthesis be used to create a software synth that is both flexible and intuitive
