Jessica Irving
Shattered Magic: For part of my major project, I chose to adapt The Shards of Shattered Magic, an unreleased novel by my mother, Michelle Quinlan. Designing for an action scene that brings us through the streets of Alavarth, an ancient kingdom in ruins. The Shards of Shattered Magic is a dystopian fantasy novel with a powerful story of survival and impossible love told through the eyes of those pushed to the margins of a broken society.
The Meltin'Pot: Realised project, part of my Major, was a collaborative project with 4th year production design students, Bryce, Erin, and 3rd year TV. Recreating the interior of a Navigation Room, and the Cockpit of a B-17 World War II plane, The Meltin'Pot that crashed off the coast of Donegal.

Minor Project: High Tide Soap Opera
High Tide is set in Dun Mara, a small coastal town that relies on tourism to stay afloat. On the surface it’s a picture perfect community, with locals working hard to maintain its spotless image but beneath the calm tides, not everything is as it seems.
For this project, I designed several key locations a local pub that serves as the heart of the community, a renovated seaside cottage owned by the towns local stain glass artist, and a coastal café.
