This piece deals with heartbreak and isolation. The almost crippling roller coaster of emotions that a relationship brings can lift you to your highest point and drop you further than you ever thought you could fall, this work focuses on the latter. The breakup. The audio piece tells a story of a relationship between two people in love. The sweet beginning, the swell of emotions, the childlike joy it brings and the longing sadness it leaves when it ends. With this audio, the monitor displays the breakup at the end of it all. Out of focus shots are used to display the uncertainty of the decision, while harsh shadows represent the bleak emotions of the main character.

My objective with this project was to create an audio piece that told a story of heartbreak and isolation.
This project resulted in the creation of two separate pieces (one audio and one visual) that are then combined to create a third piece, **Time Away On My Own**. Through this piece I learned how to create tension, release and visuals purely through audio and musical programming.
