Sydney Redhead

Splinter

**Splinter** explores the lingering impact of childhood trauma and its intersections with mental illness. Combining evocative soundscapes and haunting projections, I’ve constructed a fragmented narrative that blurs the boundaries between memory and reality. The performance employs a monologue and repetitive, cyclical movements to evoke the disorienting experience of reliving trauma. The projection further amplifies this dissonance, presenting surreal, uncomfortable visuals of eyes that symbolize fractured recollections and internal conflict. **Splinter** confronts the audience with the relentless echo of unresolved trauma, inviting them to navigate a visceral, sensory exploration of the mind’s fragmented landscapes.
