Duelling twins / Declaration of personal havoc

Duelling twins / Declaration of personal havoc is a video that deals with inner conflict, identity and self acceptance. The work explores the idea that people often show different sides of themselves depending on the situation they are in. Over time, this can lead to one side being favoured because it is seen as more fun or likeable, while another side becomes ignored.
The work focuses on a conflict between two sides of the artist’s personality. One side which was once an important part of the self has become violent toward the other side, after being pushed aside. The work implies that both sides are needed to create a complete person. Neither side can exist without the other. Healing can only happen through understanding and acceptance.
