Anita Savic

BA [Hons] Visual Communication Design

Hello! My name is Anita. I am interested in editorial design, critical thinking, and UX design. I have a persistent desire to understand the complexities of all things design and the world around us. I seek to streamline these complexities to create a world where we can understand each other more. I like to design with empathy through in-depth problem-solving to generate a creative outcome. I am looking forward to putting everything that I've learned at IADT into practice in the real world!

Carerlife

Carerlife is a programme that fosters connection and support among family carers in their local community using a mobile app.

The app allows family carers to discover other carers in their area through upcoming events — where they can engage with one another without feeling judged. The involvement of local cafes and pubs bridges the gap between the community and family carers.

As stated in a 2022 survey, nine out of ten family carers agreed that the value of what they do is not recognised by others. One of Carerlife's main objectives is to aid family carers in their caregiving journey by providing them with a peer to peer local network.

Extended Thesis: Crowning Achievements — Comparative Analysis of British & Dutch Monarchies Influence on Banknote Design

The monarchy has played a significant role in shaping the design and symbolism of currency,
it serves as a visual representation of power, authority, and cultural identity. This thesis examines the role of the monarchy in the design of currency throughout the twentieth century, specifically from the 1970s to the present day. The Netherlands and the United Kingdom have experienced transformative changes in currency design as each society and monarchy have adapted to the modern world. National identity and nostalgia are crucial elements in this analysis, as they are themes that have aided the monarchy’s relationship with society.
It shows that monarchy has become modern,
or a costume monarchy.
