BA [Hons] Creative Music Production

My name is Conor, and I'm an aspiring Composer and Creative Director. I have a huge interest in many art forms, such as Music, Film, Dance and Fashion. Throughout college I worked as a stylist, working with musicians like Lyra and CMAT. With this project, I wanted to examine the relationship between the Music Industry and the Fashion Industry and explore the ways in which the former influences the latter.

"Paula - At Home"

"Paula - At Home" is a short fashion film starring Irish model Paula Pancer. The film is shot in the style of a fashion campaign, and follows a model trying on different outfits while posing around a 17th Century Georgian Manor House. The original score was written using techniques found to be successful in luxury fashion films, through the research carried out for this project.

Analysing the Role of Music in Establishing Brand Identity through Luxury Fashion Films.

The aim of this thesis is to discover the ways in which audiences perceive music in the context of luxury fashion films and how, by understanding these perceptions during the creation of a fashion advertising campaign, fashion brands can enlist sound design and original compositions to better deliver their brand identity to the intended audience.
