BA [Hons] Creative Music Production

I'm a film composer based in Artane and have already worked on a wide variety of projects. I have composed the scores for documentary programs for RTÉ and TG4, including 'Róisín Murphy's Big City Plan' and 'Cumhacht an Nádúir'. I have composed scores for multiple student led animation projects, including collaborations with the Swinburne University of Technology. I'm currently working on my first feature film 'Love Lane United', as well as two feature documentaries, Ag Lorg Hy-Brasil, funded by The Arts Council and TG4, and 'Answering the Call' funded by Screen Ireland, Coimisiún na Meán, TG4 and the S481 Tax Incentive.

'Hachiko' is an animated short film I provided the music and sound for in collaboration with students from the Swinburne University of Technology. The story follows the titular dog, who becomes a stray after the disappearance of his owner, becoming a local hero in the process.
'Lost' is another partnership with the Swinburne University of Technology, following a mother and son as they make their way through a hospital, all the while being stalked by a mysterious creature.
This is the first clip of a feature film I am currently working on titled 'Love Lane United'.
The film follows a group of friends residing in Dublin, who are losing interest in repeating the same activities week by week. To combat this, a member of the group decides to start a Sunday league football team to bring some excitement back to their lives.
Project Description

My project features scores for three different films, and the compositional choices in each were informed by academic resources and interviews with established film composers, and the strength of these techniques was tested through the use of surveys.

My thesis explored what techniques could be implemented into film scores in order to influence the audience and achieve the desired responses from viewers. The techniques were informed from academic resources as well as interviews and articles relating to established film composers.
