Csilla Torok 

BA [Hons] Animation

Hi! My name is Csilla and I am an artist located in Clare. I have an interest in 2D animation and creating magical little worlds. I aim to continue improving my skills and abilities after graduation in all aspects of animation.

Gestural drawings to understand the "child" character. I wanted to keep the roughness and sketchy-ness of the character sheet in my film.
Character sheet for the "adult" character. The swirl on their heads is an important aspect of the design and can be found in other areas throughout the film.

Ephemeral

My final project Ephemeral is about the impermanence of life and learning to enjoy the journey of creating something rather than the end product.
The little creatures in my film work together in a collaborative effort to build a sandcastle that, in the end, will be washed away.

You can see from the clips shared that my film is very simplistic in style. The film was a solo project and so I tried to work in the ways I was confident in. I used a limited colour palette so that the characters would stand out and be the main focus of the film, rather than the backgrounds.
