BA [Hons] 3D Design Modelmaking + Digital Art

Hi, my name is Eva. I am a 3D modelmaker. I was first interested in this course because I love to learn new techniques for materials and mediums. Through this course, I found my passion for sculpture and detail work, which I combined with my interest in textiles to make my final project. The goal for my final project was to make a set with cute characters without triggering the uncanny affect. By stylising the characters to be cute and non-threatening, I hopefully avoided the uncanny successfully.

My final project is a stop motion set along with a poseable puppet a metal armature and interchangeable heads, faces and clothes to become two different characters. The stop motion set is based on a daytime TV show set including behind the scenes. The two bunny characters inhabiting the chat show set and kitchen set respectively both fighting to keep their show afloat. The two characters have stylised faces and bodies with a felt texture all over.
