Hana Mohamed 

BA [Hons] Film + Television Production

Hana Mohamed is an Egyptian producer, known for her work in film and music video production. Her film "Sons of Roisin" (2022 - dir. Conor Bradley) premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh and was featured in Nowness Magazine. The film received critical acclaim, with a special mention and win for Best Sound Design at the RTS Awards. Hana's short film "Rude Boys" (2024 - dir. Campbell Gibson) won runner-up for Best Student Short Film at the EDA Awards and was shortlisted at the Kinsale Shark Awards. She is currently working as a production assistant with leading independent production company Treasure Entertainment.

On returning home for the first time since his mother died, Leon must finally face the fragmented family, and the grief, he’s been avoiding. Here is a tender drama, that explores the complexities of loss within a family and takes a poignant and authentic view on grief.

Graphite On Canvas (2024), is an Eastern European tale directed by Jaka Prosenik and Produced by Hana Mohamed.

Martin, an immigrant janitor, is stuck in rut. His lonely routine is his only purpose in life. When a colleague asks him a strange favour, he is unexpectedly forced to see himself in a new way. Graphite On Canvas, is a film inspired by experiences during the hardships of covid, and the effects of Isolation, especially when you are far from home.

Rude Boys (2023) is a coming of age saga, where music and finding your tribe, overrides any sense of repression amongst this resilient, fun loving collective. Keefer’s objective for the day is to call for his mates, smoke a stolen cigarette and spend 50p - without being asked too many questions about his newly acquired shaved head. Wearing his dad’s braces and a couple of Two Tone badges, he reinvents himself as a Ska Rude Boy. But challenges arise as Keefer navigates his friends through the day, without telling them the real reason why he’s shaved his head.
