Hey! I'm Jude. I'm a multi-disciplinary designer with a particular interest in branding and editorial design. My projects are driven by unique concepts rooted in thorough research. I love using a wide range of techniques to bring my ideas to life — my favourites being well-crafted typography, 3D and motion. From creative problem solving to image making I truly enjoy every part of the design process and I'm eager to continue evolving as a designer and put my skills to work.

Dissent Against the Hip-Hop Hegemony: Feminine Expression Amid Marginalisation and Adversity

This thesis explores women in hip-hop, how they navigate, embrace and challenge a culture that seeks to objectify and subjugate them. It highlights contemporary politics that influence how hip-hop artists choose to portray themselves and theories on gender that allow a deeper understanding of the career decisions these women make. This thesis seeks to understand the different ways the female artists promote their individual feminist ideas through their music through comparative analysis of lyrics and visual media they produce. This thesis proposes the prevailing negative attitude towards these women is unjust and detrimental.
