The goal of my project was to find if the addition of sound effects and instruments would improve the listening experience of Audiobooks.
This project would use 3 narrations. The first was just the narration on its own, the second narration would have sound effects included and the third would have sound effects and instruments included. These were then put into a survey that would be used to gather the data that would inform the thesis
The overall response to the survey that was done was positive. The participants felt that the addition of sound effects improved the listening experience. When the instruments were added on top of the sound effects, a few of the participants had negative responses, stating that it was distracting and took away from the narration.
