BA [Hons] 3D Design Modelmaking + Digital Art

I'm Mathews De Leon, a Brazilian Artist based in Ireland. Growing up I was very passionate about art, but more specifically animation and video games. While studying in IADT it became clear that I wanted work with digital art. The passion for character design and storytelling intertwined heavily during the creation process of my final project. I'd love to one day work in a big film or game production, and have the opportunity to keep telling stories.

BAM! Drop Slam Man - A Wrestling Story

'BAM! Drop Slam Man' is a 3D animated trailer with 2D styled visuals inspired by many of my personal interests - Wrestling and animation being one of them.
The story of 'BAM! Drop Slam Man' is about Astro pursuing his dream of becoming a real Pro-wrestler. He does not dream about fame but instead, being recognised for his skills and strength in the ring by his role model Magnifico.
The trailer shows Astro training and daydreaming a fight against Magnifico where it is possible to see that Astro still lack what is needed to be the best.
