Project Description

My final project is an evocative blend of natural elements with narrative portraits. I painted five large canvases with two small round ones. Three of them are portraits surrounded with flowers and creatures.

Thesis Title

My thesis is titled 'Flower Painting: A Timeless Expression of Beauty and Emotion, a study on the various floral art forms throughout history until the present'. I wanted my research to be tightly linked to my practice so I wrote about florals and their development into a well respected genre on its own.
