Graduates of the BA (Hons) Film & Television are at the beginning of their professional careers but leave the film school with real world practical experience and knowledge that ensures they will stand out and succeed. Each person has specialised in a key area – production, editing, directing, writing, sound and cinematography – but all have the general and soft skills necessary for modern media professionals. Our graduates find careers in a diverse range of sectors, not least film, television, online content providers, broadcast media, advertisement agencies, post-production facilities, in house production facilities, state and civil bodies and indeed any group involved in the creation and distribution of audio-visual content.
This cohort of students began their studies here at the National Film School IADT under the challenges of the pandemic. However, the same skills of perseverance, resourcefulness and focus they utilised then, they now bring with them into industry. Society is informed and shaped by the stories we tell and how we tell them. The graduate class of 2024 are the new generation of storytellers and will contribute positively wherever they go.
