BA [Hons] 3D Design Modelmaking + Digital Art

I'm a final year student studying 3D Design, Modelmaking & Digital Art - specialising in 3D Digital Art and Visual Effects. I've always had a love for film, television and gaming, which has inspired me to pursue this path as an artist and create worlds big and small to be explored and viewed. My works explore digital design from all aspects including entertainment, visualisation and education - using a variety of software including 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, Blender and Gaea to convey the purpose of each project.

Project Description

My Final Project is a digitally based virtual-reality experience that focuses on education
surrounding the physical tools we use as artists of all kinds of backgrounds. I focused on recreating the spray painting room at IADT, the Green Screen Studio, and some machines from the Fabrication Lab.
The main goal of the project is to allow for remote learning, re-learning and interactivity from home. The experience includes four main areas; the main menu, set above IADT's campus, the Spray Paint room, the Green Screen Room, and Fabrication Lab. Each of the areas are interactive in different ways, and provides a tool to learn about the campus before arriving onto it by demonstrating how these areas are used safely, including input from multiple lecturers regarding the safety procedures of the rooms.
All models and rooms were 3D Scanned - these scans were then used as the basis for custom modelling done in Blender, texturing using Quixel Mixer and the final playable experience in Unreal Engine. Everything was measured and built to scale and was made by me, bar some pieces listed.
