Ana Dodon

BA [Hons] Animation

Hi! My name is Ana Dodon and I’m an animation graduate. After five years of studying art and animation I would love to continue creating stories that exude vibrant and exciting adventures. My main interest lies in telling stories through illustrations and the use of colour. I love spooky and mysterious stories with whimsical characters, fantastical settings and strong storytelling.

Colour scripting

As my final year project I wanted to concentrate on telling stories by using colours. I worked with different directors and different projects to better educate myself on the theory of colour. I tried out different techniques and colour palettes to create colour scenes that best fit each project.

Cinderella and Coraline: A Journey of Maturity and Self Discovery

Fairy Tales are the first stories we are introduced to as children. They impact our lives as we grow older, by using different forms of story telling they teach us things about our own lives especially about growing up. Growing up is hard - especially for girls. This thesis attempts to discover how utilising ancient forms of storytelling teaches young children (particularly girls) about maturity and growing up.
