Ness is an Irish Visual Artist based out of Dublin. Their work focuses on storytelling from the perspective of the individual within the bigger picture of life itself. Ness works digitally through the medium of B&W photography and moving image, providing a visual platform for stories from another time; another life. Their work is represented through a poetic visual manner with a humanistic engagement. The work aims to represent the personality and the connection we have to people through our own relationships with life. The use of the Irish language alongside English plays a role in anchoring the place and identity of their work.

Project Description

The work of "Tom 82 Teaghlach" represents the personality and connection we have to people. This is explored and represented through the life of Tom, through his personality and overall character. The work focuses on storytelling from his perspective, within the bigger picture of life itself. The time in which such stories take place reveals the sign of the times and how things have since changed. The use of the Irish language alongside English plays a role in anchoring the location and identity of the work. Through a poetic visual manner, using the medium of photography and moving image, this work intends to create a humanistic engagement with life through the presence of Tom and his storytelling.
