Rory Sweeney is a Writer / Director, Musician, Sound Designer and Video Artist based in Dublin. His work is a fusion of Genre film and experimental art, recently infusing elements of folklore into his work. His stories are tense and macabre, which is complemented by his background in experimental music and video, having moments of psychedelic editing, cinematography and sound design throughout his work.
"The Sallow Child" is a folk tale about a superstitious family's reaction to their child's strange sickly behaviour. The film shows Rory's penchant for a taut elegaic atmosphere, complemented by stark black and white cinematography and avant-garde sound design and score.
