MSc User Experience Design

The Department of Technology and Psychology is delighted to present the work of the graduate class of 2021. Graduates of the MSc in User Experience (UX) Design leave IADT with the broad range of skills and competencies required of modern User Experience (UX) designers. User Experience design forms the structure, experience and functionality of nearly everything we do digitally. The MSc in User Experience (UX) Design embraces a wide range of research methods, is interdisciplinary and covers a broad range of disciplines, such as information architecture, usability, human-computer interaction, accessibility, speculative design, interface design, strategy, psychology and much more.

Our graduate's design digital products that focus on maximising user satisfaction through user research, usability testing and iterative design processes. They design from initial concepts, through user research to final artefacts. The major projects presented by the graduates in the On Show exhibition represent the culmination of the student’s studies over the two years of the MSc programme. These projects consider all aspects of UX, including academic research, the iterative design process, users experience, external and internal factors, critically questioning and gaining insights while proposing, speculating and hypothesising possible answers and solutions.

Our graduates are highly sought after in Ireland and internationally because they are so well versed in the synthesis of UX Design. They have highly rewarding careers across many different industries.
