Julia George 

BA [Hons] Film + Television Production

Julia is a Producer/Director from Dublin. She majored in creative producing but also has a strong passion for directing. She produced two IADT graduate films, ‘We’re Blood’ directed by Andy Sherlow (2023) and ‘Vixen’ directed by Tadhg McDonogh (2023). She directed her first short film, Dume, at the age of 18 when she was studying filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. She has also written and directed ’Powder Room’, a short film that will be released in 2023.

Produced 'VIXEN', Dir. Tadhg McDonogh Cunningham. Starring Laura Whelan & Patrick O'Leary.
Produced music video for artist Chameleon 'SHOW ME WHERE YOUR HEART IS'. Directed by Chameleon & Louis O'Sullivan.
Created art film ‘Like a Stone’ which responds to an original piano composition by Emma Goldsztajn. It explores emotions of longing and regret.
Made a short documentary following artist CHAMELEON (Matthew Harris) as he competes to win a prestigious national competition for emerging musicians in Ireland. He was one of 125 artists shortlisted from thousands of artists and the documentary focuses on the final at the Academy in Dublin.
Powder Room

Julia is the writer/ director of upcoming short film 'Powder Room'. Set in the girls bathroom on a night out, various vignettes in the cubicles explore some of the hilarious, unfiltered, crude and dark experiences of young women today. Filming has wrapped and the film will be released in 2023.
