This project is an exploration of issues concerned with the concept of home, memory, intimacy, heritage, and nature. Capturing the softness and slow growth found within nature the work represents a connection between the earth and the human body. Exploring these concepts through sculpture and working with these forms within the medium of clay, a material which has been unearthed from the land. Interested in looking at the memory and traces left on the earth from the growth of flora, the work for this project was an attempt of capturing the movement and memory found within nature and relationship between that and the human form.
